The Ong Family History blog follows in the footsteps of "The Ong Family of America" by Albert R. Ong, A.M., M.D. (1846-1906), published in Martins Ferry, Ohio in 1906. Dr. Ong's work, published posthumously, is remarkable for its time and is a treasured resource, especially for its complete transcript of the 1905 Ong Family Reunion held in Smithfield, Ohio.
But our access to early records is far superior to the reach of a small-town doctor from the early 20th century, and the "Ong Family History" blog focuses especially on the early English period, Colonial America, and U.S. history up to the Civil War.
